چکیده

Abstract This paper presents an all-SiC fiber-optic Fabry-Perot (FP) pressure sensor based on the hydrophilic direct bonding technology for applications in harsh environment. The operating principle, fabrication, interface characteristics, and response test of proposed are discussed. FP cavity is formed by hermetically two-layer SiC wafers, including a thinned diaphragm wafer with etched cavity. White light interference used detection demodulation signals. Experimental results demonstrate sensing capabilities range up to 800 kPa. structure without any intermediate layer can avoid failure caused thermal expansion coefficient mismatch therefore has great potential measurement high temperature environments.

Fabrication of All-SiC Fiber-Optic Pressure Sensors for High-Temperature Applications

Single-crystal silicon carbide (SiC)-based pressure sensors can be used in harsh environments, as they exhibit stable mechanical and electrical properties at elevated temperatures. A fiber-optic pressure sensor with an all-SiC sensor head was fabricated and is herein proposed. SiC sensor diaphragms were fabricated via an ultrasonic vibration mill-grinding (UVMG) method, which resulted in a smal...

High Temperature High Bandwidth Fiber Optic Pressure Sensors

(Abstract) Pressure measurements are required in various industrial applications, including extremely harsh environments such as turbine engines, power plants and material-processing systems. Conventional sensors are often difficult to apply due to the high temperatures, highly corrosive agents or electromagnetic interference (EMI) noise that may be present in those environments. Fiber optic pr...

Fiber Optic Temperature Sensor Design based on Fluorescent Lifetime

The temperature is measured by the fluorescent lifetime of fluorescent material. In this work, the analog switch was controlled by single chip to trigger exciting light emission of LED. In order to measure the fluorescent lifetime, photoelectric detector, amplifier and active power filter were used. The modulation frequency of fluorescent signal was detected by phase locking detection method. T...

Fiber-Optic Pressure Sensor Based on π-Phase- Shifted Fiber Bragg Grating on Side-Hole Fiber

We present a fiber-optic pressure sensor based on a π-phase-shifted fiber Bragg grating (πFBG) fabricated on a sidehole fiber. Due to the resonance effect of a πFBG, its reflection spectrum features two notches that are dramatically narrower than the linewidth of a regular FBG of similar length. The narrow spectral notches allow high-resolution measurement of their spectral separation, signific...
